Make a One-Time Password Grace Period Extension
In some circumstances you may want to extend the password grace period to a specific date so that users have adequate opportunity to access Proliance and change their passwords before their accounts are locked. In Proliance, you can set a one-time grace period that applies to all users and ends on a date you choose.
To make a one-time grace period extension for password changes
- In the Organization work area, in the left menu, click Administration > Configuration > Security > Password Policy.
- On the Password Policy page, in the User Account Settings area, click Edit....
- On the Password Policy - Batch Update All Users page, select Change Grace Period Extension Date.
- In the Grace Period Extension Date field, enter a date some time in the future. Once this setting is saved, any user account that would normally be locked due to the Maximum Age policy will be now be unlocked until the Grace Period Extension date has passed.
- Click Apply Changes.
